“A Return To Normal”

After what seemed like an eternity recently moved into “Stage 3” in Ontario on July 16th, 2021 bringing back some hope mixed in with a bit of normalcy to our lives. For the Electric City Maroon & White this means we are able to proceed with our summer baseball program. We have close to 30 players and 15 registered volunteers who meet every Tuesday evening throughout the summer for a little intermural ball! Check out the pictures of our first game here.

With things opening up the team looks forward to participating in several “Cottage Country Craft Shows” this fall and winter. The are local events put on by Stu and Nancy Booth who have graciously included the ECM&W as their partner charity. With the inclusion comes a lot of hard work with many team members helping out with the event setup, assisting venders, running a coffee and baked treats section and greeting customers as they enter the show and collecting the $2 entry fee which goes directly to the team. It’s a great way for our kids and adults to learn new skills and responsibilities and showcase their abilities to the venders and general public. The ECCC is fortunate to receive a free table to sell our candles, it also gives us a chance to interact with customers and explain our program and our charity initiative. The Cottage Country Craft Show information is available here on Facebook.
